UL Solutions, the century-old certification body behind the ubiquitous UL safety logo, is expanding into AI safety evaluation with the release of UL 3115, a structured framework for assessing AI-based products before and during deployment. The company, traditionally focused on fire and electrical safety testing, now faces the challenge of establishing credible safety benchmarks for AI systems.
