Our newsroom AI policy

Ars Technica published its newsroom AI policy, prohibiting AI-generated content from being attributed to named sources or used to summarize sourced material without disclosure. The policy allows AI tools for visual production and general workflow assistance only when editorial judgment remains human-driven. All staff using AI tools must disclose such use and remain accountable for accuracy.
