Microsoft will block TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on Exchange Online POP3/IMAP4 connections starting July 2026. The company has supported these deprecated protocols on an opt-in basis since 2020 but is now enforcing migration to TLS 1.2+. The move is expected to have minimal impact as modern email clients and most Exchange Online traffic already use newer TLS versions.
