Internet Protocol Version 8 (IPv8)

An IETF draft proposes IPv8, a new internet protocol architecture centered on Zone Servers—paired active/active platforms consolidating core network services including DHCP, DNS, NTP, telemetry, and authentication. The design eliminates manual per-service configuration and uses local OAuth2 JWT validation for authentication without external identity provider dependencies.
