Dutch central bank ditches AWS and chooses Lidl for European Cloud

Dutch central bank De Nederlandsche Bank will switch from AWS to Schwarz Digits' European cloud platform (Stackit) to reduce dependence on American IT vendors. The move reflects growing concerns among European financial regulators about geopolitical exposure and data sovereignty under U.S. jurisdiction. Schwarz Digits, backed by €11 billion in data center investment, is positioning its sovereign cloud as a credible alternative to mature American hyperscalers.
