GitHub Copilot CLI now supports bring-your-own-key (BYOK) model providers and fully local model execution, including Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, and OpenAI-compatible endpoints. An offline mode enables air-gapped workflows with telemetry disabled and no GitHub authentication required. Users maintain direct control over LLM spending while preserving Copilot's agentic capabilities.
