Anthropic tweaks timed usage limits to discourage Claude demand during peak hours

Anthropic is redistributing Claude's 5-hour session limits so that token consumption runs faster during peak hours (5–11am PT / 1–7pm GMT), meaning heavy users will exhaust their session allowance more quickly in those windows. About 7% of users — particularly Pro-tier subscribers running token-intensive background jobs — will hit limits they wouldn't have hit before. Weekly totals are unchanged; off-peak hours now carry expanded capacity to compensate.
